Pep Torres is an entrepreneur, writer, creative, inventor and designer of international fame. His source of inspiration is everything around him. Since 2006 Pep Torres has combined the agency (creative studio in Hospitalet de Llobregat) with conferences in companies and congresses and curating exhibitions. It was at this stage when he received the Premi Ciutat de Barcelona and when he reinforced his role as inventor by creating the pedal vending machine for which TIME magazine recognized him as one of the best inventors of 2009 and for which he appeared on the cover of Wall Street Journal.
In 2011 he decided to share these creations and his creative universe with everyone. He founded the Museum of Ideas and Inventions of Barcelona (MIBA), the physical representation of his creative universe and the first space in the world focused on inventions and ideas. In a short time, the museum becomes a reference in Barcelona – with more than 45,000 annual visitors -, in an ideas laboratory, in a training space for families through the Minimiba project and in an exhibition space for local inventors.
Some of his latest works have been: Creative Director of the opening ceremony of the Johan Cruyff Stadium for F.C Barcelona, and Creative Director one of the culinary experiences of Paco Roncero’s Workshop for chef Paco Roncero.
Pep Torres currently alternates museum projects and various conferences with the management of Stereonoise, a company with which he proposes strategic solutions for creative communication and digital marketing for different clients nationally and internationally such as Everis UK or Happy Punt.
In addition, Pep Torres is an author who mixes in his works, humor, strategy and creativity. Among some of his most prominent titles are: “100 ideas to carry”, “The Art of Noise”, “Incorrect”, “I do not pay you for thinking”, “Undesirable” and “The Inventor’s Manual”, among others. He is also a contributor to the maximum audience program “Julia en la Onda”, with Julia Otero where she talks about the future and creativity.
Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, l’Observate have collected the impact of the actions and ideas created by Pep Torres, achieving a media and gobal broadcast. Some of his creations have achieved more than 30,000 impacts in media around the world from Alaska to South Africa through all of Europe to Japan.
