Matteo Rizzi is an unconventional entrepreneur and a book author with two decades of experience in Financial Services. For three years in a row (2014-2016), Financial News has nominated Matteo as one of the “40 most influential FinTech executives in Europe”.

 

He has been an investor till today, and specifically today he is an Impatient Investor with Bamboo Capital Partners.

 

In 2008 Mateo Rizzi co-founded Innotribe, the innovation arm of SWIFT, where he worked for 13 years. He also launched the Innotribe Startup Challenge, the first global deal flow of its kind. He left SWIFT in 2013. From 2013 until 2015, Matteo Rizzi was a Partner in SBT Venture Capital, one of the first funds (100M USD) solely dedicated to FinTech investment (Series A), building a portfolio of 12 startups.

In 2015, Matteo created and cofounded FTSGroup.eu a platform for Investors, Innovators and start-ups to foster FinTech innovation globally, with some 50+ missions and events all over the world. Through it, Matteo founded the Timepledge.org initiative, a global program helping African entrepreneurs in several domains of their businesses, from product to strategy to channels management to investors pitching.

He is the author of «The FinTech Revolution» and «Talent & Rebels», where through the life and professional story of the author, helped by a number of conversations with renowned innovators and leaders across industries, the book find predictable patterns to figure out ways to not only spot these lateral thinkers in your organisation, but also to deal with them and use their peculiar talent to help your business thrive.

Recently, Matteo Rizzi took the position of Executive Producer of Breaking Banks Europe (a spin-off of Breaking Banks US) available on Soundcloud, iTunes, Spotify and Google Podcasts.

Matteo Rizzi speaks five languages, holds an University degree in Computer Science (University of Genova) and a Postgraduate in Financial Transactions (Solvay Business School).
