Guy Kawasaki es uno de los mayores expertos a nivel internacional dentro del  ámbito de las nuevas tecnologías y el marketing. Tras licenciarse en psicología por la Universidad de Stanford y obtener un MBA, Guy Kawasaki se convirtió en el segundo chief evangelistde software de Apple Computer, donde su trabajo consistió en  atraer y focalizar a usuarios vinculados al mercado Apple.

 

La misión del «chief evangelist”» es, nada más y nada menos, la de cambiar nuestra actitud frente a una idea y la forma en que todos nos comportamos. El «chief evangelist« de una compañía ha de lograr que una nueva tecnología, idea o producto pase de ser algo minoritario a convertirse en la referencia universal, aquello que toda la competencia imita, el gadget que hemos de poseer para estar a la última.

 

Durante los años más complicados para la empresa fundada por Steve Jobs, su trabajo fue tremendamente valioso e internacionalmente reconocido y tras dejar Apple, Guy Kawasaki creó su propia empresa, una de las compañías de capital riesgo más importante de Estados Unidos, Garage Technology Ventures”; además de convertirse en un reconocido escritor y consultor.

Algunos de sus libros más importantes son The Macintosh Way”, “Reality Check, con sus mejores consejos sobre competitividad y servicio al ciente, o “El arte de empezar”, donde hace un recorrido por los más dispares temas: el arte del posicionamiento, el arte de hacer una presentación, el arte de escribir un plan de negocios, el arte de la austeridad, el arte de contratar personal, el arte de conseguir capital y el arte de crear una marca.

En el año 2008 lanzó “Alltop”, una web que usa el RSS para agregar, por materias, las últimas novedades de miles de webs y blogs y su blog How to change the Worldes una de las webs de estrategia más visitadas.

 

En la actualidad, es Chief Evangelist de Canva, una herramienta de diseño gráfico en linea y dirige la empresa de capital de riesgo norteamericana Garage Technology Ventures.
